چکیده
Abstract The minimum variation timescale (MVT) of soft gamma-ray repeaters can be an important probe to estimate the emission region in pulsar-like models, as well Lorentz factor and radius possible relativistic jet burst (GRB)–like thus revealing their progenitors physical mechanisms. In this work, we systematically study MVTs hundreds X-ray bursts (XRBs) from SGR J1935+2154 observed by Insight-HXMT, GECAM, Fermi/Gamma-ray Burst Monitor 2014 July 2022 January through Bayesian block algorithm. We find that peak at ∼2 ms, corresponding a light-travel time size about 600 km, which supports magnetospheric origin models. shock are also constrained GRB-like Interestingly, MVT XRB associated with FRB 200428 is ∼70 longer than most implies its special radiation mechanism. addition, median 7 shorter 40 ms 480 for short GRBs or long GRBs, respectively. However, independent duration, similar GRBs. Finally, investigate energy dependence suggest there marginal evidence power-law relationship like but rate least order magnitude smaller. These features may provide approach identify magnetar origin.

Gamma-ray bursts from X-ray binaries
A weakly magnetized (∼ 107G) neutron star, slowly spun up by accretion in an X-ray binary, crosses the instability boundary for r-mode instability at P=1–2 msec. The amplitude of the oscillation, which initially increases only at the spinup time scale, is secularly unstable due to the negative temperature dependence of the viscosity in neutron star matter, and diverges after a few hundred years...
متن کاملX-Ray Afterglows from Gamma-Ray Bursts
We consider possible interpretations of the recently detected X-ray afterglow from the gamma-ray burst source GRB 970228. Cosmological and Galactic models of gamma-ray bursts predict different flux and spectral evolution of X-ray afterglows. We show that models based on adiabatic expansion of relativistic forward shocks require very efficient particle energization or post-burst re-acceleration ...
متن کاملX-ray Lines From Gamma-ray Bursts
X-ray lines have been recently detected in the afterglows of a few gamma-ray bursts. We derive constraints on the physical conditions in the line-emitting gas, using as an example the multiple Kα lines detected by Reeves et al. (2002) in GRB 011211. We argue that models previously discussed in the literature require either a very extreme geometry or too much mass in the line-emitting region. We...
متن کاملPolarization of X–ray emission from the Sgr B2 cloud
The Sgr B2 giant molecular cloud is claimed to be an ”X–ray reflection nebula” – the reprocessing site of a powerful flare of the Sgr A* source, occurred few hundred years ago. The shape of the X–ray spectrum and the strength of the iron fluorescent line support this hypothesis. We argue that the most clean test of the origin of X–rays from Sgr B2 would be a detection of polarized emission from...
